Hiram has over a decade of experience in microbiology and quality control. Hiram holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz and completed advanced studies in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology at San Jose State University, where he also served as a research assistant isolating and characterizing soil microbes from the Mojave Desert.

Garrett previously held roles at Pendulum Therapeutics, Kiverdi, Inc., Intrexon Corporation, and Anaerobe Systems, with experience spanning process development, pilot-scale operations, and gas bioprocessing, he has contributed to advancing sustainable biotechnology and industrial fermentation technologies.
