Priscilla earned her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics Data Science from the University of Delaware, where she characterized non-phototrophic Actinobacterial genomes and investigated light-responsive gene expression. Her research demonstrates that even non-photosynthetic bacteria exhibit light-responsive gene regulation, involving multiple pathways that likely support adaptation and survival in fluctuating light environments. Additionally, she has contributed to expanding the genomic database of Actinobacteria by publishing several novel genome sequences.
